The First Conference on Artificial General Intelligence will be held at the University of Memphis March 1-3, 2008. The conference has been organized with the cooperation of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence.  It welcomes researchers and students in all relevant disciplines and will be intensively discussion oriented. The research papers accepted for publication in the Proceedings are already available for review online. A total of 43 presentations are currently scheduled during the 2 and 1/2 day event. At the end of the conference, there will be a 1/2 day workshop on the broader implications of AGI technology, including ethical and sociological considerations.

Registration is $400 for regular attendees, $320 for AAAI members, $200 for students, and $160 for student AAAI members. You can register for just the 1/2 day workshop at a substantially reduced amount. A block of 50 rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn located a block away from the conference venue. The Holiday Inn is an integral part of the Wilson School of Hospitality & Resort Management at the University of Memphis.

I will be attending, and hope to see you there!
